In Rajasthan, leheriya is the name of a diagonal, wave-like pattern that is traditionally dyed into cloth and worn in the monsoon; the name comes from the word for a wave. The LEHERIYA stole carries that diagonal across a light satin wrap, printed all over in Gulabi pinks. It is a small piece of the monsoon that you can wear on any day of the year.

Leheriya is a resist-dyeing craft of Rajasthan, closely linked with Jaipur and Jodhpur, in which cloth is rolled and tied so that the dye forms diagonal stripes. The LEHERIYA stole borrows that look and renders it as a print. To be clear about how it is made: it is digitally printed after leheriya, not tie-dyed. The print runs all over the stole, so the diagonal is unbroken from end to end.
The stole is made from a satin poly-woven fabric with a lightweight drape. Satin has a soft sheen and a fluid fall, so the LEHERIYA stole moves easily and sits lightly on the shoulders. It is light enough to wear in warm weather and folds small enough to carry in a bag, ready for a cool evening or an air-conditioned room.
At 20 × 70 inches, the stole is long enough to drape over one shoulder with a generous fall, or to wear loosely round the neck with both ends hanging free. It is one size, so it suits everyone. The length also makes it useful as a light cover for the head and shoulders in a temple or gurudwara, or as a wrap over a sleeveless top.

The LEHERIYA stole comes in Gulabi Pink, printed in several shades of pink so the diagonal reads clearly against itself. It belongs to the Origins house of the EKVAAR House of Originals.
The simplest pairing is the best: a plain kurta or a crisp white shirt, so the pink diagonal becomes the focus. Drape it over one shoulder for a festive look, or loosely round the neck for every day. With white or cream, as in the photo, it looks fresh; with denim, it adds colour to a casual outfit. For a darker stole with the EKVAAR signature pattern, look at the Original stole.

The LEHERIYA stole needs no size, suits almost any wardrobe and carries a story, which makes it an easy gift for Teej, a birthday, the wedding season or someone who loves Rajasthani colour.
Pink is often saved for festivals, but a light stole makes it easy to wear on ordinary days. Over a white shirt at work, with a grey sweatshirt on a cool weekend or with a black kurta for an evening out, a touch of Gulabi Pink at the neck lifts a plain outfit without taking it over.
Give it a gentle cold wash and iron on low heat. Gentle care keeps the satin smooth and the LEHERIYA stole looking bright.
Every LEHERIYA stole is made in India after you reserve it, with no unsold stock behind it. Reserve yours above.
