Understanding fit, proportion, and construction.

Sizing is intentional and varies by silhouette.

This size guide explains how EKVAAR measures every piece, how to measure a garment you own and which size chart to use.

How we measure

Chest

Read the basis label in each product’s table. Chest marked "around the garment" is the full circumference: double your flat chest width to compare. Chest marked "laid flat" is the width across. If a measurement has no basis label, ask us to confirm it before reserving.

Length

Measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.

Shoulder

Measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back.

Sleeve

Measured from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

Measurements are of the finished garment, in inches. A variation of up to half an inch is normal.

Measure yourself

Lay a well-fitting garment flat

Choose a garment that fits you well and lay it on a flat surface.

Measure chest, length, shoulders

Use a measuring tape to measure the key dimensions.

Compare with product size chart

Match your measurements to the size chart on each product page.

Between sizes?

Compare both sizes with a similar garment that fits you well, including chest and length. Fit varies by piece; do not rely on a universal size-up or size-down rule. If unsure, ask us before reserving. We do not offer exchanges for a wrong-size selection.

Using this size guide

Start with the product page, then use this size guide. Every piece has a Size guide link beside its size options, and that table holds its own measurements. The charts listed above are general, and the product page takes precedence over them.

Compare numbers, not letters. Letter sizes differ between labels and countries (see clothing sizes), so a medium elsewhere tells you little about a medium here. Measure a garment you already wear, as described in this size guide, and match its inches.

Know how the fits differ. In our charts, a medium regular T-shirt measures 40 inches around the chest and 18 inches across the shoulder, while a medium oversize T-shirt measures 44 and 20. A medium oversized hoodie has the same chest as a medium regular hoodie but is 1 inch longer. The fit descriptions above explain how each one sits.

Allow for small differences. A variation of up to half an inch is normal, and wrong-size selections cannot be exchanged (see our Return & Refund Policy). If two sizes are close after using the size guide, or a table has no basis label, ask us before reserving.
