Size guide – classic T-shirts
This regular T-shirt size chart covers EKVAAR’s classic T-shirts in every size from XS to 7XL, measured in inches.
Measurements are of the finished garment in inches. Chest is the full circumference: double your flat chest width before comparing. The size guide beside the options on the product page takes precedence over these general charts.

How to read the regular T-shirt size chart
Every number above is a measurement of the finished regular T-shirt, not of your body. Chest is the distance all the way around the garment, so a flat measurement across the front has to be doubled before you compare it. Length runs from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem, and shoulder runs from seam to seam across the back.
The steps are even. Each size up adds 2 inches around the chest, 1 inch of length (up to 4XL; from 4XL to 7XL length grows by 1 inch in total) and 1 inch across the shoulder. A medium measures 40 inches around the chest, 27 inches long and 18 inches across the shoulder; a large measures 42, 28 and 19.

Measure a T-shirt you already own
- Pick a regular T-shirt that fits the way you like and lay it flat on a table, smoothing out any creases.
- Measure straight across the chest, just below the armholes, and double the number.
- Measure the length from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem.
- Measure across the back from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Find the row in the chart that sits closest to all three numbers.
When you fall between two sizes
Say your own T-shirt measures 41 inches around the chest. That sits between a medium (40) and a large (42). Check the other two numbers before you decide: if its length is close to 28 inches and the shoulder close to 19, the large will feel familiar; if they are nearer 27 and 18, the medium will. Fit varies by piece, so don’t rely on a fixed rule of sizing up or down.
Small differences are normal. Our Return & Refund Policy treats a measurement variance within ±0.5 inch as normal rather than a defect, so allow for that when two sizes are close.

Regular T-shirt or oversize T-shirt?
The two charts look alike until you line them up. In a medium, the regular T-shirt measures 40 inches around the chest, 27 inches long and 18 inches across the shoulder. The oversize T-shirt in the same size measures 44, 29 and 20. That extra 4 inches of chest and 2 inches of shoulder is what makes the oversize cut drop off the shoulder. For a neat line that follows your frame, stay with the regular T-shirt chart; for a looser shape, see the oversize T-shirt size guide.

Letters are not a standard
An M from one label is not an M from another. Letter sizes have no single standard across brands or countries (see clothing sizes), which is why this chart gives inches. Compare numbers, not letters, and use the regular T-shirt you trust most as your reference.
Pieces cut in a regular fit
Our regular T-shirt styles include the CORE Crew Tee, the BASE Crew Tee and the DAILY Tee. Sizes on sale differ by piece and colour, so check the product page, where the size guide beside the options has that piece’s own measurements and takes precedence over this chart. Our note on what unisex regular fit means explains the cut in more detail.

Before you reserve
Every EKVAAR piece is made in India for you once you reserve it, so the size you choose is the size we make. Wrong-size selections can’t be exchanged, so take two minutes with a tape measure before you reserve a regular T-shirt. If a number still isn’t clear, write to info@ekvaar.com and ask first. Our size & fit guide explains each measurement in more detail.
