Wear one red piece and let everything else stay quiet
Agni Red is a deep, warm red, closer to a cooked chilli than a traffic light. The easiest way to wear it without shouting is to use it once: one red tee, polo or hoodie, with black, white, Neel Blue or Arav Green around it. Keep the fit simple and let the colour do the talking.

Red has a reputation for being loud, but that is mostly about brightness. Agni means fire in Sanskrit, and this shade is the slow, glowing kind: dark enough to sit comfortably in daylight and office light, saturated enough to be noticed. Here is how to wear it across a week.
The one-red rule
The whole idea is restraint. Choose a single Agni Red item per outfit and make every other piece a neutral. Two reds fight each other, and red with a loud print turns into noise. A red tee with plain trousers reads as confident; a red tee with red trousers reads as a costume.
Neutrals that work every time: Noor Black, Rui White, Neel Blue, denim in mid or dark wash, and grey. If you are still building your basics, our six-colour wardrobe system shows how these shades mix without effort.
Six ways to wear Agni Red
1. A red crew tee with dark denim
The starting point. The CORE Crew Tee (₹749) is a 180 GSM cotton crew in a unisex regular fit, and it comes in Agni Red. Pair it with dark jeans and white sneakers. It looks clean because there is only one colour decision.
2. A red piqué polo for work
Agni Red at work works best when the garment is structured. The CORE Piqué Polo (₹999) is a 220 GSM cotton piqué with a ribbed collar and cuffs, in a regular fit. Wear it with grey or black trousers and plain leather shoes. The collar frames the colour, so it looks deliberate, not casual.
3. A red hoodie under black or over white
The ORIGINAL Hoodie (₹1,299) is a 300 GSM brushed cotton fleece hoodie with a lined hood and front pouch pocket, and Agni Red is one of its six colours. A large area of red is stronger, so keep the trousers black or Noor Black and the shoes white. For a softer look, wear the hoodie with a white tee peeking out beneath.
4. Red as an under-layer
If a full red piece feels like too much, put it under something dark. A red CORE V-Neck Tee (₹799, 180 GSM cotton) under a black hoodie or open shirt shows only a small triangle of colour at the neck. It is the gentlest way to try red.
5. Red with Arav Green, if you like contrast
Red and green sit opposite each other on the colour wheel and can look festive if both are bright. Agni Red and Arav Green are both deep, so together they read as rich rather than Christmassy. Try a red tee with green joggers such as EASE Joggers (₹1,149), or the reverse with the CORE Long Sleeve Tee in Arav Green under a red layer. Keep everything else white or black.
6. A red tee dress or crop for women
The CORE Tee Dress (₹849) is a relaxed t-shirt silhouette with pockets, and it comes in Agni Red. Add white sneakers and a plain tote for the day. For separates, the CORE Crop Tee (₹699), a cropped crew neck with half sleeves, looks good with high-waisted black or denim bottoms.

Red across a normal week
Think of Agni Red as a colour you rotate, not a colour you live in. Monday: a red piqué polo with grey trousers. Wednesday: a black hoodie over a red tee. Saturday: a red crew tee with dark jeans and white shoes. Sunday: nothing red at all. Wearing it two or three days a week keeps it feeling like a choice.
For festive days, Agni Red tends to look right without any extra effort. A red tee under a neutral overshirt is enough for a family dinner, and a red tee dress with a plain stole suits a relaxed gathering. You do not need to add gold, prints or heavy accessories; the colour already carries the mood.
Finally, watch the shoes. White or black shoes suit red. Brown works if the rest of the outfit is denim and white. Avoid bright coloured shoes with red, as that is where a quiet outfit starts to shout.

Red and skin tone
A deep red like Agni Red suits a wide range of Indian skin tones because it has enough depth to hold its own next to warm brown skin, and it is not so bright that it washes anyone out. If a red feels too strong next to your face, keep it away from the neckline: wear it as a hoodie under a black jacket, or as trousers or a skirt. If you like it near the face, try a v-neck or polo collar to give the colour some structure.
We go into this further in our guide to colours for Indian skin tones.
Caring for a deep red
Dark, saturated colours can lose depth if washed hard. Turn the garment inside out, wash it in cold water with a mild detergent, and dry it in the shade. For the first few washes, wash it with darks so any loose dye does not touch your whites. The same routine helps a hoodie last, and we cover it in how to wash a hoodie.
The Signal detail
Agni Red also appears as a tiny mark elsewhere in the range. The SIGNAL Zip Hoodie (₹1,799) spells EKVAAR in Morse code, embroidered on the left chest, and the very first dot is Agni Red, the one mark where everything begins. It shows that red does not always need to be a full garment; sometimes a single dot is enough.
FAQs
Is a red tee too bold for work?
Not if the shape is structured. A red piqué polo with a proper collar, worn with grey or black trousers, looks tidy in most casual offices. A plain crew tee under a dark jacket also works.
What colours go with Agni Red?
Noor Black, Rui White and Neel Blue are the easiest partners. Denim also works well. For a bolder mix, pair it with Arav Green and keep everything else plain.
Can men and women both wear Agni Red?
Yes. Most of our red tees, polos and hoodies are cut in a unisex regular fit, and there are women-specific options like the CORE Tee Dress and CORE Fitted Crew Tee as well.
Will red fade quickly?
Any deep colour can fade with hot water and harsh detergent. Wash it inside out in cold water and dry in shade to keep the depth.
