Across South India, the day often begins at the doorstep. Before the house wakes, a kolam is drawn on the threshold in fine lines of rice flour. The HOSTILU oversized tee is named for that threshold, hostilu in Kannada, and it carries an original single-line pulli kolam drawn for EKVAAR: a small one on the chest and the full kolam across the back. One line, never lifted, wrapped around a grid of dots.

A kolam is a traditional floor drawing made at the entrance of homes. In a pulli kolam, the artist first lays a grid of dots and then draws lines that loop around them. The design on the HOSTILU oversized tee is a single continuous line, which is why its line is “One line, never lifted.” The small version on the chest is a quiet signal; the full version on the back is the statement. It belongs to the Street house of the EKVAAR House of Originals.
The HOSTILU oversized tee is made from 100% cotton at 240 GSM. That is heavier than an everyday tee, so the oversized cut hangs straight and holds its shape, and the cotton stays breathable and soft against the skin. The kolam is applied by DTF printing, which keeps the fine, looping line crisp on Noor Black.

The cut is a unisex oversized fit with dropped shoulders: wide through the body, with the shoulder seam sitting down on the upper arm. Take your usual size for the intended loose shape, or one size down for a closer fit. Our size guide has chest and length measurements for every size.
The HOSTILU oversized tee comes in Noor Black. The dark base makes the light kolam line stand out the way rice flour stands out on a dark threshold, and it keeps the tee easy to wear with almost anything.
Keep it simple and let the kolam speak. Relaxed denim or cargos with chunky or clean sneakers is the natural pairing. Wear it on its own so the back design is seen, or under an open overshirt; the EASE oversized shirt left unbuttoned works well. If you like designs named in Kannada, look at the CHOWKA tee too. The HOSTILU oversized tee also suits shorts and sandals on a warm weekend.

A kolam is drawn to welcome the day and whoever comes through the door. Carrying one on your back turns that small daily ritual into something you take with you. It is a design rooted in a real Indian practice, made for modern streets.
The HOSTILU oversized tee is for people who like their clothes to carry a little meaning. It suits anyone who grew up seeing kolams at the door, and anyone who simply loves clean, graphic line work. It is unisex and works for college, travel and weekends.
Wash it inside out in cold water and dry on low heat. Do not iron on the print. Treated this way, the HOSTILU oversized tee keeps its kolam sharp for a long time.
Every HOSTILU oversized tee is printed in India only after you reserve it. No unsold stock and no waste: you choose your size, and it is made for you. Reserve yours above.
